I'm AJ, a Maricopa-based family photographer who left corporate life behind because I couldn't stop thinking about what it felt like to pick up a camera for the first time and just know, the way you know when something is exactly what you're supposed to be doing.

 

My husband surprised me with a pro camera, my photographer friend was having a baby, I took her maternity photos, and that was genuinely it for me. I've been chasing that feeling in every session ever since.

I'm faith-led, I'm a hugger, I show up in yoga pants, I make fart sounds to get toddlers to look at the camera, and I will hype you up the entire session like we've been best friends for years, because by the time we're done, we kind of are. My oldest son is autistic, which means I show up to every session with a really deep patience and understanding for kids of all personalities and needs, the wild ones, the shy ones, the ones who are currently going through a phase where they hate everything, I've got them all.

 

My whole goal is that you leave feeling easy, seen, and a little bit healed, because motherhood is a lot and you deserve someone who actually shows up for you for once.
